CLASSIC FLAVORS à la GELARTO ROSA
Our classic flavors evoke cherished, familiar memories with a touch of excitement — our little secret. This makes each of our classics unique: you may think you know the flavor, but the first bite will reveal a taste you’ve never experienced before.
Vanilla
Vanilla à la Gelarto Rosa is a tribute to the custard of the founder’s grandmother’s profiteroles. Its base is double-pasteurized, slowly cooked with premium vanilla beans from the fragrant island of Réunion, lemon zest, fresh homemade milk, cream, and real eggs, resulting in a deep, traditional “crema” vanilla, far richer than ordinary milk-based ice creams flavored with vanilla paste.
Chocolate
Our chocolate is rich and intense. The base is made with fresh milk and cream, blended with carefully selected, high-quality cocoa powder. Through slow cooking and a 12-hour maturation, it develops its true chocolate character, revealing layered flavors petal by petal.
Lavender White Chocolate
We began experimenting with lavender 18 years ago, long before it became trendy, introducing it for the first time to Hungarian ice creams. We use soft, 100% pure domestic lavender oil in a cream base, where white chocolate and a few drops of lavender oil produce a gently emerging, refreshing flavor.

Basil Lemon
We didn’t tire of banana — we reinvented lemon with a touch of basil, which has become a favorite among our guests. Our fresh, dairy-free vegan sorbet is available year-round. This flavor became internationally popular, first created by us in 2009 in Hungary.
VEGAN FAVORITES
Perfect texture and flavor in a visually stunning rose shape, with no compromises. We are proud to offer premium quality even in vegan versions. For our paleo, “all-free” sorbets, we use various sugar alternatives such as birch sugar and stevia, making them safe for diabetic or health-conscious guests.
Pistachio
One of our greatest prides: ice cream made from Bronte pistachios grown in volcanic soil. This high-quality, aromatic ingredient is blended into a sweet base cooked with milk and cream. Roasted, salty Sicilian pistachios enrich this base, creating a uniquely creamy, sweet-salty flavor.
Chocolate Sorbet
Our vegan version is just as captivating as the classic. Cocoa is the dominant flavor, and we enhance it with selected fruits depending on the season — cherry, raspberry, or banana — creating a unique texture and chocolate flavor thanks to our founder’s exceptional expertise.
Mango
For our vegan mango sorbet, we use our favorite, the true Alphonso mango — smaller and sweeter than other varieties. The syrup base is made from three types of sugar, mostly glucose, giving the sorbet its silky texture and highlighting the fruit’s natural flavor.
Dragon Fruit
Enchanting color and taste, with the exotic flavor of dragon fruit. Slightly sweet, refreshing, reminiscent of kiwi, and enhanced with a hint of violet syrup — a flavor you will remember forever.
SPRING
When the petals of our rose ice creams hide real flowers…
Fresh elderflower and violet, fragrant rose, or acacia from our grandmothers’ gardens transform into “flavor creations,” where scent, color, and taste harmoniously unite.
Elderflower
The unmistakable flavor and aroma of fresh garden elderflower form the base, blended into a fresh lemon sorbet to welcome the first rays of sunshine.
Strawberry
One of the happiest signs of sunshine — red, sweet strawberries from local producers. This charmingly pink and sweet flavor is accented with a touch of elderflower.
Rose
True to our name, the essential flavor of our rose ice creams is rose.
Damask rose, the “queen of roses,” provides the deep, balsamic floral notes for our rose ice cream made with a creamy base.
Creamy Acacia
Our smooth, creamy base combines perfectly with fragrant, golden acacia honey. The lightly sweet taste and unmistakable aroma of acacia flower is captured in every drop of premium Hungarian honey, sweetening this springtime specialty.
SUMMER
As nature changes, so does our flavor palette. Sun-drenched summer fruits often come from the ice cream creator’s own garden — fragrant, bold, colorful, and each a bite of sunshine in rose form.
Peach
More than a fruit — a natural creation. Our peaches are layered in flavor: the crisp white flesh gives taste, while the deep purple near the pit gives the ice cream its natural pink color.
Berries
Each tub contains several kilograms of fresh fruit, a true superfood full of antioxidants, vitamins, and immune-boosting properties. Summer treasures hidden in a healthy, delicious rose.
Cooked Corn
Silky, sweet, and crunchy. A bite of summer, a bite of memory, a bite of new experience. The buttery, sweet corn flavor and sunlit yellow color come alive in a milk base with a pinch of salt.
Hibiscus Dream
Inspired by Marrakech, this flavor takes you to a magical world where fragrant, bright red hibiscus flowers meet cooked Ceylon cinnamon and ruby-red pomegranate.
AUTUMN
As the leaves fall in all colors, we offer a variety of flavors to enjoy the season! Orange, bronze, and warm brown autumn tones complement the rose shape, allowing you to create your own autumn favorite selection.
Pumpkin
Bright orange, sweet, with hazelnut and nutty aroma, and very creamy. Includes juicy orange and spiced ginger for a perfectly fragrant and inviting flavor.
Chestnut
Candied cooked chestnuts with a hint of vanilla. Marron Glacé flavor is sweet, creamy, slightly nutty, and caramel-like. Long soaking in sugar syrup creates a classic winter treat, resulting in an elegant, soft-textured ice cream.
Black Tahini
Tahini made from silver-toned roasted black sesame seeds offers a culinary journey you’ll never forget.
Fig
Fig à la Gelarto Rosa includes both the fruit and fresh green fig leaves, adding a crisp, fresh bitterness to balance the sweet fruit flavor.
WINTER
Spicy, full flavors and seasonal specialties. Winter is full of wonders, each flavor waiting to be unwrapped like a Christmas gift.
Walnut
Walnuts are doubled in the ice cream: cooked in honeyed milk for the base, plus a generous portion caramelized and roughly chopped, blended into the creamy base. Unforgettable flavor!
Poppy Seed
A classic winter favorite. Who said poppy can only be enjoyed in pastries? Its distinctive flavor is enhanced with fragrant, sweet orange.
Chili Chocolate
Deep, sweet, and spicy at the same time — instantly warming. Each petal of the chili chocolate rose reveals the flavor in layers: first the sweet, deep chocolate, followed by a pleasantly spicy finish.
Brown Bread Whiskey
Bold, intense flavor thanks to Niki’s creativity, years of experience, and expertise. Due to the whiskey’s alcohol content, a complementary binding ingredient — brown bread caramelized with sugar — was used to harmonize the flavors in a creamy vanilla base.
